I am a calligrapher and a book artist. The Silent Hand Scriptorium, founded in 1981, is my working studio where I design & letter invitations, logos, awards, greeting cards and fine art calligraphic pieces.
My personal growth is centered around an observation of nature, and I ask myself what is real and why we are. I open my eyes and look at the earth, her beauty, her problems. Perhaps reconnection and healing can come through the words and colors with which I communicate visually.
In my peaceful, quiet vocation, I hope to be able to make some statement about our futures, about truth, in relation to our planet. In my desire to make objects that people will look at and ponder, I want to continue experimentation with materials and techniques to make exciting discoveries.
